They are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly, hardworking team and help keep our plant running safely and efficiently.

The Role

This is a hands‑on engineering role based within a busy chemical manufacturing environment. You’ll be maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of production equipment and site infrastructure to ensure smooth, safe, and continuous operations.

You’ll need to be comfortable getting stuck in, this is not a desk job.

The work can sometimes be dirty, smelly, and challenging, but for the right person, it’s highly rewarding, varied, and part of a supportive team that values practical problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, utilities, and facilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Support plant shutdowns and major maintenance projects
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site standards and regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance reliability
About You
  • Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is highly desirable
  • Electrical skills or qualifications would be the gold standard
  • Comfortable working in environments that can be physically demanding and not always pleasant‑smelling
  • A proactive, safety‑conscious approach with great problem‑solving skills
