Job summary

A leading environmental services provider in Ellesmere Port is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support EC&I operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety policies, conduct inspections and repairs, and assist with mechanical breakdowns. Qualifications

  • Must be CompEx 1-4 qualified.
  • Experience in fault finding 4-20mA, single and 3-phase systems required.
  • Proficiency with process control instruments and basic mechanical skills needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily EC&I maintenance support.
  • Conduct inspection, testing, and service of electrical equipment.
  • Assist with mechanical breakdowns and minimize repeat problems.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Compliance with all Veolia and H&S policies and procedures.
  • Provide site EC&I maintenance support on a daily basis.
  • Safe isolation of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Overhaul and testing of the site's EC&I equipment.
  • Inspection, testing and service of all site electrical equipment.
  • Fixed wiring defect repair of all site electrical equipment.
  • Fault diagnosis and resolution of EC&I problems across site.
  • Calibration of site instrumentation equipment.
  • Installation and commissioning of minor EC&I projects.
  • Assist with mechanical breakdowns.
  • Work with the site team to efficiently resolve repeat problems.
  • Involvement in health and safety audits and improvements.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement activities.
  • Use of organisational CMMS system.
Qualifications
  • CompEx 1-4 qualified.
  • Experience in fault finding 4‑20mA, single and 3‑phase systems.
  • Proficiency with process control instruments such as control valves and level sensors.
  • Good understanding of inverters, PID controllers and SCADA.
  • Basic mechanical comprehension to assist with breakdowns.
  • Time served as an electrical engineer (minimum years as required).
