Are you a mechanically focused Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable shift pattern and challenging project work within a fast‑paced FMCG environment? We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our team in Dudley!
We require a skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer, ideally with a strong mechanical background, to manage maintenance and contribute heavily to ongoing capital projects at our Dudley site. Experience with steam systems, pumps, and pipework is highly valued.
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Shifts: 8-hour shifts on a rotating Days Only pattern:
Week 1: Mornings (e.g., 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Week 2: Afternoons (e.g., 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Holiday: 21 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector is essential.
Experience in the Food or Drink manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical fault‑finding and repair skills.
Familiarity with maintaining and servicing core plant equipment such as:
Steam Systems
Compressors
Pumps and Pipework
This role offers a great mix of routine maintenance and exciting project work:
Reactive & Planned Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance, service, and repair of all factory machinery and plant equipment to minimize breakdowns.
Project Work: Play an active and crucial role in various on-site capital projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Plant Maintenance: Ensure the reliable operation of site infrastructure, including steam boilers, compressors, and extensive pipework.
Breakdown Response: Quickly diagnose and rectify mechanical failures and malfunctions across the facility.
TPM/PPM: Contribute to and execute the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
