Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Haverfordwest

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days & Nights

We are currently recruiting a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established food manufacturing site in Haverfordwest. This is a hands‑on role working on a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern, offering a great balance between work and time off.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production machinery, responding to breakdowns and completing planned preventative maintenance in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same.

The Role
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment
  • Respond quickly and effectively to reactive breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery
  • Work on a range of equipment including packaging machines, conveyors, washers, and weighing systems
  • Prioritise workload effectively to support production demands
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food manufacturing and health & safety standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate issues clearly to the wider team
About You
  • Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical and mechanical fault‑finding experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment (preferred)
  • Comfortable working on both PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and good time managementRelevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
