Alongside our commercial sites, we also manage 10 residential properties, including 4 premium apartments all of which fall within the scope of this role.

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our property and co‑working operations team.

In this varied and hands‑on position, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our buildings and facilities remain in top condition creating safe, efficient, and inspiring spaces for our members, tenants, and staff.

You’ll take ownership of both reactive and planned maintenance, covering multiple trades across our commercial and residential portfolio. From fixing faults to keeping our HVAC and lighting systems running smoothly, no two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across all sites.
  • Undertake general building maintenance including painting, decorating, gardening, deep cleaning, and small repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC faults efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems such as fire alarms, access control, lighting, and heating/cooling equipment.
  • Work closely with the facilities and operations teams to ensure all spaces remain compliant, safe, and fully operational.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality work results and value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records, inspection logs, and statutory compliance reports.
  • Manage and update an inventory of tools and spare parts.
  • Support refurbishment, fit‑out, and relocation projects across our portfolio.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture at all times.
About You:

Essential skills and experience:
  • Time‑served apprenticeship or qualification in a relevant trade (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical Maintenance).
  • Proven experience in property, facilities management, or co‑working environments.
  • Competence across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
  • Good knowledge of building compliance standards, including fire safety, water hygiene, and PAT testing.
