Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Annual Salary: £43,000

Location: Ashford

Job Type: Full-time, Rotating Day Shifts - 6am / 2pm and 2pm / 10pm

We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Ashford. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance tasks across various departments.

Day-to-day of the role :

• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond to equipment faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently.
• Carry out repairs and ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance machinery performance and reliability.
• Work closely with other team members to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts inventory, and machinery performance.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with qualifications in Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
