Mobile Maintenance Electrician - West Midlands - Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial & Retail

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, where they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

This is a mobile opportunity, covering Birmingham & surrounding areas.

Package: competitive salary of £40,000 per annum (depending on experience), van & fuel card supplied, core hours Monday – Friday (40 hours per week), participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (to be confirmed), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, generous workplace pension scheme, training, development & progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
