Job summary

A manufacturing company based in Rugby is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to handle breakdowns and maintain electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations and two years of experience in an industrial setting. Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a manufacturing company based in Rugby looking for a Maintenance Electrician with a background of working within a busy manufacturing company. This is a Monday to Friday days role - see below:

Salary

£48,128 per annum

Hours

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 and 08:00 - 15:30 on a Friday. Every 5th week you will be required to work Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00 and 08:00 - 16:00 on the Saturday and Sunday for pre-planned maintenance. Your rest days for this period will be on the Monday and Tuesday.

Role Summary
  • React to breakdown maintenance requests
  • Diagnose, calibrate, and repair electrical and control systems, including sensors and automation equipment
  • Ability to read technical drawings, and skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and using specialized tools
  • Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments
  • Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Supervisor
  • Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies
  • Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation & records is kept updated
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings
  • Review and submit to the Technical Services Manager ensuring all actions are documented reviewed and completed
Experience Required
  • NVQ level 3 Electrical Installations as a minimum or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience working in an industrial environment
  • Able to diagnose, calibrate, and repair electrical and control systems
  • Ability to work effectively with other technicians and engineers
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex problems in automated and electrical systems
