Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a busy manufacturing site in Leeds. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on automated production machinery and electrical systems, diagnosing faults and ensuring reliability.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, fault finding on industrial equipment, and supporting continuous improvement to maximise line uptime. Days and nights shift pattern is required.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment.
• Experience with electrical fault finding and maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Comfortable working a days and nights shift pattern.
• Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns.

Responsibilities

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance professional to join a stable site where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of production machinery and site services.

Job Role

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment. You will be working on a range of automated production machinery and electrical systems, diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard.

The role will involve electrical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, continuous improvement and supporting the ongoing reliability of the site.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment.
• Experience with electrical fault finding and maintenance of industrial machinery.

• Previous experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working with PLC‑controlled machinery.
• Knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
• Additional mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
