Maintenance Electrician - Manufacturing

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £51,500 plus overtime
Shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (days & nights) + 1 x 12-hour Sunday shift (1 in 4 rotation)

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support plant reliability, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure the safe operation of a range of automated production machinery.

The Role
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across motors, drives, PLCs, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machinery
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to high standards
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Liaise with operators, engineers, and external contractors to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure clear shift handovers
  • Promote and uphold health & safety standards across all work areas
About You
  • Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC HNC)
  • Experience working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Confident fault-finding on PLCs and electrical systems
  • Able to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious with strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented and flexible with both day and night shifts
  • Note: Experience with Heidelberg or Manroland printing presses, or Bobst cut & crease / folder gluer equipment, would be an advantage but not essential.
