Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Goole is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on high-volume production equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical fault-finding, supporting production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Maintenance and strong electrical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance.
• Experience in fast-paced production or food environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.

Overview

Electrical Maintenance Technician
Days - Every Other Saturday | £45,760

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across high-volume production and packaging lines. The role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance, electrical fault-finding, and occasional mechanical work to ensure smooth operation of all plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical and plant equipment, including packing lines and site utilities.
• Perform PPMs, fault-finding, and reactive maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Support production teams to minimise downtime and improve line performance.
• Record all maintenance activity using the site CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with contractors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Time-served apprenticeship and Level 3 qualification in Electrical Maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in a fast-paced production or food environment preferred.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
• Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
