Job description

To provide a professional and efficient service to the customer and the EMCOR management team in the delivery of a Term Maintenance Contract to Hampshire County Council covering planned and reactive activities in line with contractual requirements, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators, primarily for the sites electrical systems and associated equipment replacement across Hampshire, predominantly the Western area of the county.

  • Support your line manager in the day-to-day implementation of EMCOR policies, procedures and standards necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities and provide a high-quality service to customers
  • Delivering contractual requirements through effective organisation, planning and communication
  • Accurate submission of documents with correct utilisation of digital tools available to deliver an 'audit-ready' output
  • Monitor the progress of assigned tasks, ensuring that works are completed according to the agreed plan of work and to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Ensure that all Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments have been read and understood and that they are appropriate for the task in hand and produce task specific risk assessments as required
  • First fix and solutions-based approach to problem solving.
  • Provide regular updates to the EMCOR Management team and the contract helpdesk team
  • Liaise with Hampshire County Council (HCC) engineering team, particularly the electrical surveyor, on a regular / as needed basis
  • Ensure that the client's CAFM system (Concerto) is updated to reflect job status on reactive and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Effective management of work in progress (WIP)
  • Attend sites for surveys and/or meetings as required
  • Adaptable to the demands of workload and contract scope.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc functions within the account within skills level, training and experience on an as required basis
  • Form part of the "Out of Hours" Call out Rota.
  • Carry out reactive work under working at height regulations.
  • Ability to adapt behaviour and approach across a diverse range of operating environments and client departments
  • Develop positive relationships with all clients and colleagues and work collaboratively within a mobile team of field and office-based staff.
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record with (post apprenticeship) experience of planned maintenance, electrical fault finding, repairs and minor installation works.
  • Clear/Clean DBS check needed.

  • C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience of installation, testing and maintenance of LV distribution systems
  • Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems
  • Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis
  • Good IT skills
  • Be able to communicate effectively with client site-based staff members, the client directly and have a flexible approach to work patterns.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude.
  • Working at Height qualifications.
