Venatu Recruitment are proud to announce that an industry leading client of ours, a major global business in the packaging sector turning over billions, are now looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join them as soon as possible! They are a global supplier of sustainable, recyclable packaging for some of the famous brands around the world and are consistently in the pursuit of market‑leading innovation, quality and customer service, all backed by investment in their people and processes.

Due to their consistent growth and expansion, they are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join them at their Doncaster site immediately. The role will ensure continuous operation and development of process equipment within the Doncaster Print Facility and will require a well‑skilled electrician with a good attitude to work and a willingness to learn and progress.

Role

These are a full‑time position paying £40,000 per year. This role offers the option to work either a 4 and a half day week or a 5 day week with the following patterns:

  • 4.5 day week – 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday to Thursday with a 12:30 PM midday finish Friday.
  • 5 day week – 7:30 AM to 3 PM Monday to Thursday with a 2:30 PM finish Friday.
Job Duties Include
  • Prepare cold‑end equipment for job changes and potential breakdowns, ensuring equipment meets necessary specifications for the new job.
  • Take part in job changes, setting up and adjusting inspection equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations during and after the job change.
  • Provide support for critical plant functions as and when required.
  • Identify and rectify faults with cold‑end equipment to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Complete SAP and production logs as each job is completed to establish and maintain a well‑informed team.
  • Work as part of an effective team to manage and control the workload throughout the shift.
The Type Of Candidate They're Looking For
  • Have gained a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault‑finding skills; ideally experience of PLC work in an FMCG‑based environment.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm to support a 24‑hour process, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Health, safety and hygiene awareness.
  • Industry specific training will be given.
