Job description
Maintenance & Electrical Technician

Location: St Helens

Salary: £30,000 per annum + paid overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Sometimes weekend work will be required, as and when repairs are needed out of business hours. This will not be every weekend, but the successful candidate must be available when required. Overtime will be paid for this work.

The Role

We're looking for a Maintenance & Electrical Technician to carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across the site. You'll focus on electrical systems and 3-phase installations, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs, including 3-phase systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, wiring and electrical components.
  • Complete maintenance records and checklists accurately.
  • Support the Site Services Manager with general site maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and report any issues promptly.
About You
  • Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance, facilities or construction.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
