A local health trust in Chester is seeking a Maintenance Craftsperson (Plumber) for a full-time onsite role. The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Estates Department would like to appoint a Maintenance Craftsperson (Plumber). The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and based on site at The Countess of Chester Hospital. There will be the opportunity to work overtime at enhanced rates and to be part of a team providing on call cover (after a probationary period) with on call payment, any additional hours and mileage reimbursement. This role receives an additional recruitment and retention payment of £3277 per annum. The Trust offers a generous benefits package including a career average pension scheme and annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days increasing to 33 days per annum plus bank holidays with service. You will be an active member of the team, promoting good working practice, minimizing downtime and helping improve standards. You will interact with staff at all levels and must possess excellent communication skills.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services in West Cheshire and to Welsh patients via the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Services are provided from three locations:
The Countess of Chester Hospital: 438 general and acute beds
Ellesmere Port Hospital: 56 beds for rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facilities
Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: base for community services serving the local rural population.
The Trust employs over 5,916 staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000 (including 361,000 residents in Chester and West Cheshire and parts of Deeside).
