Are you a skilled mechanical engineer or plumber looking for a rewarding role in healthcare facilities management? Join Simply Serve Limited, a trusted provider of Estates and Facilities services to Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, and help maintain essential systems that keep our hospitals running smoothly. As a Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical), you'll play a key role in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of engineering plant and equipment across our community hospitals. This includes:

Responsibilities
  • Plumbing and pipework repairs and installations, including hot and cold water systems.
  • Fault-finding and repair on mechanical systems such as heating and ventilation, pumps, compressors, motors, and emergency generators.
  • Carrying out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, ward staff, and contractors to minimise disruption to patient care.
  • Occasionally performing basic electrical tasks and supporting other trades where required.

You’ll also be expected to prioritise your workload using our Facilities Management system and maintain accurate records of all work completed.
