Qualifications

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Experience using hand-held tools and carrying out general maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of plumbing and electrics.

Job description

£25,660 per annum

37.5 hours per week (working 5 days over 7, including evenings and weekends on a rotational basis)

About the Role
  • Play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-presented campus environment
  • Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, small works and minor redecoration
  • Support statutory compliance checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures and lifts
  • Complete meter readings (water, gas, electric, oil, biomass and PV) and report findings as required
  • Respond to service requests via the Estates Service Desk and Residential Support team
  • Assist with sustainability data requests and act as a first responder to consumption queries
  • Identify, report and where appropriate resolve issues impacting campus operation, safety or appearance
About You
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Have experience using hand‑held tools and carrying out general maintenance and repairs
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of plumbing and electrics
  • Safely use machinery and equipment and follow health and safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and stakeholders
  • Take a flexible and proactive approach to work across a busy campus environment
  • Are able to work under pressure and respond effectively to reactive tasks
