Job summary

A community-focused arts centre in Kingswear is looking for two new Dual Co-ordinator/Duty Manager roles. You will ensure the safety and efficient operation of the building and lead in supporting volunteers. Ideal candidates have experience in customer-facing roles with leadership and communication skills. Flexibility is key, with some evening and weekend work required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the arts, leisure, hospitality, or retail sector.
  • Leadership and people skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Confidence in handling responsibility and making decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and emergency procedures (training provided).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

The Flavel is recruiting, and we are looking for two new Dual Co-ordinator/Duty Manager roles to look after our volunteers and our building in our very friendly Arts Centre at the heart of Dartmouth.

Roles

As Maintenance Co-ordinator/Duty Manager you will be ensure the safety, maintenance and efficient operation of the building s infrastructure and equipment and when Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre, ensuring that audiences, artists, and visitors enjoy a safe and welcoming experience.

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator/Duty Manager you will take the lead in recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers ensuring they feel valued and play an active role in the Centre s success and when Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre, ensuring that audiences, artists, and visitors enjoy a safe and welcoming experience.
