A healthcare institution in Winchester is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure the upkeep of grounds and facilities. The role includes performing maintenance tasks as directed and assisting tradesmen with repairs and improvements. Candidates should have strong maintenance skills and safety awareness, working both independently and as part of a team. Training opportunities are available to enhance skills and knowledge. This role contributes to the Trust's vision of providing outstanding patient care across multiple sites.
To carry out the maintenance of planted and paved areas, roads, and drainage systems to premises as directed, using mechanical equipment and hand tools. As part of a managed team, ensure that the grounds of all Trust properties are maintained to a high standard. Assist building, mechanical, and electrical tradesmen as instructed. Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across the Trust and its contracted customers as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
The role would be principally based on the Trust site at Winchester, however dependent on the needs of the service it may be required to work on the other site locations (including Andover & Basingstoke).
