Reporting to the Maintenance Officer, the maintenance team makes sure that we have a clean and well‑maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well.

What you’ll be doing
  • Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
  • Compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents
  • Carry out day‑to‑day repairs and some refurbishment activity to maintain standards in the care home
  • Actively engage with staff, relatives and families as part of the care home team and regularly engage with residents
  • Ensure that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept
  • Have excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the residents
