Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a 6-month temporary contract in Devizes. The role involves general maintenance, plumbing support, and assisting with equipment repairs. Ideal candidates will have hands-on maintenance experience, essential plumbing skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday from 07:30 to 12:30.

Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Devizes
Days: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:30 Fridays
Duration: Temporary 6 months (possibility to extend)
Pay Rate: £15.14 per hour

We're recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join a world-leading manufacturing company in Devizes on a 6-month temporary contract.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine facilities and plant maintenance across the site
• Support with plumbing work (hot and cold water systems, drainage, etc.)
• Assist with equipment installations and repairs
• Help maintain the building, grounds, and general site facilities
• Work safely and follow company procedures at all times
• Support other team members and on-site contractors when required
• Keep basic maintenance records and update job logs

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work
• Plumbing experience (essential)
• Basic mechanical skills or plant knowledge (desirable)
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
