Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust in Lowestoft is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary maintenance team to keep NHS facilities safe and compliant.

You will carry out routine and reactive tasks, support planned maintenance across our estate, and work in a flexible, team‑based environment. Full UK driving licence and mechanical/electrical/building qualifications preferred; pro rata salary listed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years work experience in a mechanical, electrical or building field.
• Practical experience of general maintenance.
• Experience in mental health or secure services hospital environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine, planned and reactive tasks to ensure buildings and equipment are safe and compliant.
• Assisting the maintenance team in planned, routine and reactive maintenance across the estate.
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of buildings and equipment.
• Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety and relevant legislation.

• Carrying out routine, planned and reactive tasks to ensure our buildings and equipment is safe and fully compliant
• Assisting the members of the maintenance team in all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance across our estate
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of buildings and equipment
• Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
