Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in relevant maintenance duties, particularly in a care home setting.
  • Willingness to take on on-call maintenance responsibilities.

About the role

As our Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for all repairs and maintenance across our home. You’ll walk the home daily to proactively identify any areas that need attention, whilst also conducting regular safety checks on various equipment. You’ll create a maintenance programme for the home alongside our Home Manager and of course you’ll interact with our residents on a daily basis – so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our residents dignity at all times.

You will need to be available for on call maintenance
  • Experienced at painting and decorating – having electrical and plumbing skills would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety and Food Safety.
  • Accurate records of all checks and repairs completed and scheduled.
