Overview

Are you a fantastic Maintenance Assistant who has great attention detail? Do you have significant knowledge and experience in building maintenance? If so, this Maintenance Assistant role could be perfect for you.

Our prestigious client is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join their growing Estates team. The position works within the Maintenance Team supporting the general maintenance of the site which will include carpentry, joinery, brick laying, plastering and general construction work. This is varied role and will require you to work independently as well as part of a team. The nature of this Maintenance Assistant role will require amazing attention to detail across each project and high standards of delivery & execution.

The working hours are 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. There will also be a requirement to work specific weekends over the year.

The salary for this fantastic role is circa £30,000 depending on experience, also additional ad hoc overtime is available along with a discretionary bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general repairs to the premises.
  • Undertake stock control, account for goods and material.
  • To manufacture and install carpentry and joinery items.
  • Carry out bricklaying, concreting, plastering and roof repairs and other similar maintenance work.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ideally hold a City & Guilds in carpentry, or a similar trade qualification.
  • Ideally hold a City & Guilds in bricklaying, or a similar trade qualification.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of buildings maintenance and construction.
  • Be able to work as part of a team or independently when required.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude and a strong team player.
  • Be able to lift heavy items, using equipment provided where needed.
