On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment a DBS cleared Maintenance Assistant for work based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Role: Maintenance Assistant
Duration: 6 weeks
Location: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh EH16 4SA
Rate: £21.42 p/h inc hol pay
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am – 4pm.
Must be eligible for DBS or preferably already have DBS in place
Responsibilities
- To undertake General Maintenance
- To undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance within your skillset
- Work on fire dampers and associated damper solutions across the site
- Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work
- Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and visitors
- Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, e.g. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.
- Undertake training to maintain and develop the requirements of the service
- Liaise and undertake duties at other sites in my portfolio
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed across all sites
- Liaise with and maintain good working relationship with clients
- Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Concession / Project Agreement
- Keep all servicing records up to date and within statutory guidelines
- Demonstrate the Company’s core values
- Demonstrate an observable commitment to health and safety
- Behave in a professional manner at all times
- Be presentable at all times
- Liaise with line manager regarding any issues on site that you feel in your professional opinion need to be escalated
- Any other duties as required comparable to this role
