Hywel Dda University Health Board is inviting applications for the post of Maintenance Assistant within the site-based Estates Operational Maintenance team at Glangwili General Hospital.

The Maintenance Assistant will work with a crafts team to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant and equipment, supporting clinical services and ensuring a safe, pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Applications are invited for the post of Maintenance Assistant within the site-based Estates Operational Maintenance team at Glangwili General Hospital. The Maintenance Assistant will be part of an estates maintenance team which includes various craftspersons, ensuring that plant and equipment are maintained to an appropriate standard to support clinical service departments in their primary task of treating patients., Working within the Maintenance Policies & Procedures, you will be required to maintain and repair a variety of Mechanical /Electrical equipment, plant and services in conjunction with undertaking a range of duties associated with other trades, as appropriate i.e., multi-skilling. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the environment is both pleasant and safe for patients, staff and visitors, together with maximising organisational effectiveness that will improve service delivery.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
