Location: Working across multiple WildLand sites within the majestic Cairngorms National Park, Scotland.

Hours: 40 hours per week; permanent; full time or part time; flexible working available. Includes weekend work.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance and Groundworks Assistant to join our team in the beautiful Cairngorms. This role is integral to maintaining WildLand's high standards of presentation, safety, and guest satisfaction across our boutique hotel, exclusive use property, and cottages.

You will play a key role in ensuring that our people, places, and processes reflect the highest standards of care, sustainability, and hospitality.

You will demonstrate our values and align with our Purpose, Vision, and Brand, as well as the behaviours of One WildLand Team and One Wild Way.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Be a role model of WildLand Leadership and teamwork
  2. Align with our People Ethos and Health & Safety requirements
  3. Be first point of contact for all maintenance matters for our Hospitality and staff properties
  4. Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance across guest accommodations and estate infrastructure.
  5. Liaise with external contractors and ensure all maintenance work meets operational, safety, and environmental standards.
  6. Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from the hospitality team, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
  7. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks with precision and care.
  8. Monitor and maintain heating systems, water treatment, security systems, and estate vehicles.
  9. Perform visual property checks on a weekly basis.
  10. Implement a PPM schedule.
  11. Partner with Housekeeping, Front of House, and Chef Teams to enhance the overall guest experience.
  12. Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainable practices.

Who you are

You will have a proven track record in property or facilities maintenance, with strong technical knowledge and practical skills. You are an excellent communicator and capable of managing a diverse workload to deliver high standards. Experience in a remote or hospitality setting is an advantage.
