Job summary

Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd is seeking an experienced Gas Site Manager to lead safe delivery of gas mains and service replacement works across the Cadent framework in Cambridge and Peterborough.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise delivery teams and subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety, quality and programme requirements, and represent the company on client visits and site meetings.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering gas utility works.
• Experience managing gas mains and service replacement projects.
• Proven experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of gas safety, operational procedures and permit requirements.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SHEA Gas qualification.
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification or awareness.
• Lift Supervisor or Appointed Person awareness.
• Confined Spaces training.
• First Aid at Work.
• CAT and Genny awareness.
• Abrasive Wheels training.
• Experience working under Principal Contractor arrangements.
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
• Experience working directly with Cadent or other gas distribution networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of gas mains and service replacement works.
• Lead site teams, supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Cadent, company and industry standards.
• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and traffic management.
• Deliver works safely, on programme and within productivity targets.
• Complete site inspections, briefings, audits and daily records.
• Manage permits, RAMS, lifting plans and excavation controls.
• Monitor quality, reinstatement, customer service and environmental standards.
• Identify site risks and implement suitable controls.
• Collaborate with Operations, HSEQ, Planning, Compliance and Commercial teams.
• Lead investigations into incidents, defects, delays and customer complaints.
• Represent Prestige professionally during client visits and site meetings.

This is a key site-based leadership role responsible for managing daily operations, supervising delivery teams and ensuring all works meet client, safety, quality and programme requirements.

Essential experience and qualifications:
