Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Skilled Machinist role.

• Experience on 4 & 5 Brother Machining Centres would be highly desirable.
• Ability to make turned parts on conventional lathes would be an advantage.
• Ability to work accurately paying good attention to detail.

Overview

Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer with experience of making components, generally in non-ferrous materials is required for a well-established engineering company based in Ashton Keynes, Swindon.

Salary: up to £35,000 per annum pro rata (subject to experience)

Location: Ashton Keynes, Swindon, Wiltshire (SN6)

Job type: Full-Time OR Part-Time, Permanent – NO Shifts

Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 17.00pm, Fridays till 2pm; Part-Time, 3 days per week

Travelling to the site will always be against the traffic. Parking is on own farm site.

Responsibilities

• Join a small team making components on 3, 4 & 5 axis bed mills with conversational programming.
• Have the ability to make turned parts on conventional lathes in addition to operating other conventional machine tools, such as pillar drills and surface grinders (advantage).
• Work on bespoke parts for machines; the work can be very different, non-repetitive and interesting.
• Contribute as part of a friendly family-run business trading successfully for 36 years.
