Machinist – Excellent Rates – Permanent – Great Benefits – Thorne – Immediate Start!

Ash Consulting are working with a high profile local employer who seek to add a further machine operator to their growing team.

The company have UK Facilities/offices in Thorne as well as their head office site in Nottinghamshire.

Duties;

In this role you will set and operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools producing new and refurbished components for a variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive and OEM’s. The role involves a variety of manual machine work and CNC machining on millers and grinders. You will work from drawings to assist with the refurbishment and assembly of overhauled equipment in the workshop and the supply of associated spare parts. Working in a team of five, days only, to deliver the highest quality of repair, on time and to budget, and in accordance with Company and customer specific HSEQ requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Ideally some formal apprenticeship training in production machine work and with good hand assembly and coordination skills. You will be able to competently read drawings and use a range of tools including gauges, jigs fixtures etc. Any ability or familiarity with Fanuc controls is helpful but training will be provided to those holding the majority of skills already outlined.
