Machinist (Machine Shop Supervisor)

Circa £35,000 (Flexible DOE) + Quarterly Bonus + 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Internal and External Training

Days Hours Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16:00, 13:00 Finish Friday

Are you a Machinist or a Machine Shop Supervisor looking to join a company that can offer both internal and external technical training?

The successful candidate will need experience working in a machinist or similar role with an understanding of Siemens controls. The company can provide leadership training and external training on XYZ machinery and internal training on manual machining.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production and non-production machining on site. The company are in the process of designing a new CNC machine shop which you will help with.

The Machinist (Machine Shop Supervisor) Role
  • Oversee manual and CNC machine workshops
  • 75% Machining and 25% Supervisory work initially then moving to a 50/50 split long term
  • Manual machining – lathes, turret mills and grinders – training can be provided
  • Utilising XYZ machinery
  • Working with plastic / resin and metal components
  • Design of new CNC machine shop
  • Continuous improvements
