Machining Support Technician

Up to £45,000

Overview

We are partnering with a world‑class Formula 1 team to appoint a Machining Support Technician to join its high‑precision manufacturing function in Northamptonshire. This role underpins the efficiency of a fast‑paced machining environment, ensuring materials, stock, and workflows consistently meet the exacting standards of elite motorsport.

Responsibilities

You will manage the ordering, receipting, and control of raw materials, maintaining optimal stock levels to support machining and production schedules. Using manufacturing planning systems, you will ensure full traceability of goods receipts, stock movements, and material issues, releasing materials to production in line with priority and deadlines.

The role also oversees the safe collection, segregation, and disposal of swarf, working closely with suppliers, waste partners, and internal stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include organising raw material areas, operating handling equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance material flow and stock accuracy working with management within the machine shop.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings experience in machining, manufacturing, or materials coordination, with knowledge of CNC Machining processes and timescales, along with being comfortable in the fast‑paced nature of F1 Manufacturing.
