Role Overview

My client is a leading manufacturer specialising in the production of bespoke hydraulic products. They require a capable and conscientious Machine Tool Maintenance Technician to strengthen their maintenance function. This is a permanent nightshift opportunity based at our client's modern, high‑tech site in Tewkesbury.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs on CNC and conventional machine tools, plus occasional support for production test rigs.
• Verifying that all work satisfies stringent quality and calibration standards before handing equipment back to operations.
• Sourcing replacement components and maintaining adequate stock levels to minimise downtime.
• Keeping method statements and risk documentation current while observing all safety regulations.
• Supporting lean initiatives and workplace organisation improvements in line with 5S principles.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Apprentice trained in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Practical understanding of electrical schematics and diagnostic tools for machine tools.
• Exposure to automated or robotic equipment is desirable.
• Comfortable with MS Office applications; experience of computerised maintenance systems is preferred.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong reliability and teamwork values.
