Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Machine Technician in Cheltenham to help keep our production lines running smoothly. You will monitor paper machine performance, perform safety checks and support start-ups, shutdowns and grade changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role offers a 4 on/4 off shift pattern with 12-hour shifts, structured training, and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects within a supportive manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar environment.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail with proactive work style.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance and identify issues before they impact production.
• Carry out safety checks before and during operation.
• Ensure work adheres to safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in production areas.
• Complete production and operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to meet specs.
• Support start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers, plus communicate across teams.
• Minimise downtime, waste and losses through proactive monitoring.
