The Role

You will be responsible for setting, operating and maintaining mechanical Power Presses used to produce precision metal components for high‑volume electrical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set, operate and adjust Power Press machines
  • Perform tooling changeovers, setup adjustments and safety checks
  • Complete first‑off inspections and quality documentation
  • Monitor machine performance to minimise downtime
  • Work to production targets following standard procedures
  • Maintain safe working practices in line with H&S and COSHH requirements
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement
Essential Experience
  • Hands‑on experience with Power Press machines (not CNC)
  • Experience in single action and/or progression tooling
  • Ability to complete first‑offs and follow quality processes
  • Understanding of pressed parts and associated quality standards
  • Strong mechanical awareness and problem‑solving mindset
