A leading pet food manufacturer in Thirsk is seeking a dedicated individual for their packing department. You will be responsible for packaging kibble into customer-specific bags, ensuring quality checks and operating machinery. Ideal candidates must have a good standard of education, be IT literate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a salary of £34,694 annually, plus overtime, with various employee benefits including free parking and enhanced maternity/paternity leave.
In the packing department, your role involves packaging the extruded kibble produced by the on‑site extruder department into specific bags for customers. You'll work as part of a shift rotation within one of four cells, each equipped with automated machines and robots that assist in the bagging, sealing, wrapping, and stacking processes. Once completed, the packaged bags are sent to the warehouse department.

£13.90 per hour (including shift pay) - £34,694 annual salary plus overtime. 48 hours per week – Monday – Thursday. Days and nights between 5.30am / 17.30pm. Paid monthly (last Friday of each month), overtime. Enhanced maternity/paternity/pawturnity. Pension: NEST – employee contributions 4.5% / employer contribution 3.5% – salary sacrifice.
