Job description

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operator working on a 3 shift rotation for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Machine Operator Benefits

• Rotating over 3 shifts – Days 6am to 2pm, Afters 2pm to 10pm, and Nights 10pm to 6am – these shifts rotate each week so you must be able to work all 3 shifts.
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly.
• Start date: Monday 10th November 2025 – Interviews to be held on Thursday 6th November 2025.
• Pay Rates: £15.75 for days and afters & £16.76 for nights.
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent subject to performance and attendance.
• Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Machine Operator Duties

• Working on line automation.
• Operating and loading machinery.
• Quality checking of materials and finished products.
• Working with wood and heavy worktops.
• Following instructions.
• General housekeeping.
• Working on your own and as part of a team.
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets).

Machine Operator Criteria

• Previous assembly/production/manufacturing experience essential.
• CNC or machine operating experience.
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts – days, afters & nights.
• Hard working, reliable and punctual.
• Experience of joinery/carpentry but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills.

Note: This is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day‑to‑day duties.
