IS Machine Operator

Are you an experienced IS Machine Operator looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate IS Machines safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Diagnose and correct bottle faults to maintain quality standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and free from glass.
  • Record machine actions and process control parameters accurately.
  • Complete pre‑shift checklists and hourly quality checks.
  • Use Superview to monitor and communicate production issues.
  • Handle mould equipment with care and assist with job changes when required.
  • Train new operators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Achieve departmental targets and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report faults promptly and contribute to a safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive knowledge of bottle faults and IS machine operation.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) teams.
  • Strong technical understanding and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fully PC literate and comfortable with production monitoring systems.
Qualifications & Training
  • City & Guilds in a mechanical qualification (or equivalent).
  • IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety training.
  • GCSE passes in Maths, English, and a science subject.
  • Previous IS Machine operating and setting experience.
