Job summary

A manufacturing recruitment agency in Leicester Forest East is seeking a Machine Operator for a permanent night shift position. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience and the ability to operate Wickman machines. Responsibilities include working with various metals and performing self-inspection on small to medium-sized aerospace components. Competitive salary ranging from £13 to £16 per hour plus shift allowance is offered.

Overview

EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a global footprint company that is world-renowned for its manufacturing capabilities of producing high-quality, detailed components through various machine manufacturing for lucrative customers, primarily within the aerospace market.

As part of the company's growth, our client is looking for a Machine Operator to join the team on a permanent basis.

  • Hours: Night shift - Monday to Thursday 10.30pm - 5.30 am and Friday 1.30pm - 8.30 pm

Responsibilities
  • Operating Wickman machines
  • Working with a variety of metals to machine small to medium-sized components for the Aerospace industry
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Using manual measuring equipment to self-inspect your own work
Qualifications
  • Strong experience within a machining role
  • Able to set & operate machinery
  • Any knowledge of forging & press machines would be advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable performing multiple set ups per day
  • Confidence in performing self-inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
