We're hiring for a Machine Operative to join a leading precision engineering company at their site in Glossop. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team where your contributions are crucial to meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards.

  • Mon - Thu | 6am - 4:30pm (3-month training period)
  • Mon - Thu 1:15pm - 11:30pm (after 3-month training period)

What will you be doing as a Machine Operative?
  • Setting and running machinery to meet production targets
  • Responding to machine maintenance issues and reporting breakdowns
  • Recording outputs and downtime accurately and on time
  • Following preventative maintenance routines and supporting continuous improvement
  • Keeping work areas clean, safe, and compliant with Health & Safety standards
  • Assisting with fault finding and basic mechanical repairs
  • Collaborating with your team and escalating issues when needed
What do you need?
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Machine operating or mechanical repair experience
  • The ability to work with computer-controlled machinery
