Machine Operator

Eccleshall

£31,500 (Including shift allowance)

Rotating shifts (Days and Nights)

  • Week 1: 06:45 hrs to 19:00 hrs, Monday to Thursday (4 days)
  • Week 2: 18:45 hrs to 07:00 hrs, Monday to Wednesday (3 nights)

SF Recruitment is recruiting for a permanent Machine Operator to join our fast‑growing manufacturing business in Eccleshall. The successful candidate will prepare and operate machines to deliver production KPIs and will work on rotating shifts.

Key Tasks
  • Operate machinery as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and record hourly performance.
  • Identify and correct product quality issues.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Complete cleaning tasks as per SOP.
  • Record production data to ensure full product traceability.
Key Objectives
  • Always undertake duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver 100% of the production plan by optimizing material yield and machine availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Produce products "right, first time every time".
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
  • Complete short interval control and resolve performance‑impacting issues, or escalate when unresolved.
  • Comply with quality standards.
  • Support technical trials and projects.
  • Continuously challenge the status quo regarding lost time and material losses.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain 5’s standards within the workplace.
  • Work to VODS.
  • Attend scheduled meetings on time.
  • Serve as requested by your Shift Leader.
