Job summary

Proman in Elland (HX5) is recruiting for a CNC machine operator to work with wood machinery such as edge banders, drills, crosscut saws, beam saws and routers. The role is suited to those with wood industry experience and will begin with production tasks in a dynamic environment.

The position offers potential temporary-to-permanent opportunities for the right candidate, with a focus on accurate material replenishment, quality checking, and operating CNC and related wood equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate wood machinery including edge banders, drills, crosscut saws and routers.
• Work in a production environment with strict timekeeping.
• Replenish stock to correct warehouse locations and check quality of outgoing stock.
• Operate CNC machines and beam/crosscut/ drill equipment as required.

CNC Machine Operator - Elland (HX5)

Shifts and Pay rate :

• Days- Monday to Thursday 06.00am start and 18.00pm finish (12 hour shifts) £12.84 per hour.
• Nights - Monday to Thursday 18.00pm start and 06.00am finish (12 hour shifts) £13.78 per hour.
• Weekends - Friday to Sunday 06.00am start and 18.00pm finish (12 hour shifts) £14.61 per hour.

Role: Machine Operator

This role can be potentially offered temporary- permanent for the right candidate.

New starters will be operating Wood Machines such as: edge banders, drills, crosscut saws, beam saws and routers. Previous experience from wood industry is preferred.

Previous experience can include the following:

• Working within a production environment
• Machine Operating experience required
• Replenishing stock in the correct warehouse locations
• Quality checking outgoing stock
• Wood machinist/manufacturing background
