Machine Operator

Location: Bedford

Contract: Permanent – Immediate start

Salary: £26,951 per annum + £3,288.96 Shift Premium

Hours: 4 on 4 off, rotational days and nights, 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Bedford, is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Machine Operator on a permanent basis.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in their industry‑leading production facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety standards.
  • Set up and diagnose machinery to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process faults.
  • Maintain product quality to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and pre‑start HACCP checks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised.
  • Meet daily production targets.
  • Take on additional duties as needed.
