Job summary

Wren Kitchens Limited in Barton-upon-Humber is recruiting full-time Trainee Machine Operators for our fast-paced production environment. You will learn to interpret technical drawings and operate CNC and edge banding machinery to produce high-quality kitchen components.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and crate handling is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn; adaptable to shifts and changing tasks.
• Background in wood technology is advantageous.
• Previous production roles help; quick learner on line equipment.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Basic familiarity with MS Office and email is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read technical drawings to produce end products to a high standard.
• Operate woodworking machinery safely, including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines.
• Undertake warehouse duties as reasonably requested by management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Hit production targets in line with departmental goals.

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for full-time Trainee Machine Operators to join our dynamic team at our sites in Barton-upon-Humber. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer and be part of a fast-paced, modern, and high-tech production environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Learn how to interpret detailed technical drawings in order to produce end products of the highest standard
• Participate in the effective and safe control of a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines
• Undertake any other Warehouse duties as reasonably requested by the Manager or Supervisor
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace
• Meet allocated production targets in line with the department

Desired skills & knowledge

• Warehouse experience (Advantageous)
• Flexibility, commitment and punctuality
• Experience in wood technology (Advantageous)
• Previous production experience is an advantage
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and email is beneficial but not essential
