Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand. We manufacture and supply pipeline systems for a diverse range of applications including Water supply, sewerage, energy, stormwater, irrigation, rural, communications, and Industrial. We have approximately employees across operational sites in Palmerston North, Christchurch and Ashburton, with our commercial head office in Auckland.

About the role
  • We are looking for a Machine Operator to join us at our manufacturing site in Ashburton. This role involves working on a 2 week rotational shift pattern (2 weeks day shift, 2 weeks night shift, 2 weeks afternoon shift).
  • Carrying out correct pack off processes
  • Ensuring all start-ups, shutdowns and change overs are carried out correctly.
  • Ensuring scrap is well managed and controlled
  • Carrying out process troubleshooting and process corrective actions.
  • General Machine Operation; ensuring all paperwork and quality checks are carried out correctly
  • Replenishing materials
  • Following standard operating procedures
About you
  • You’ll need to be a self-starter who enjoys variety and learning, and will ideally be experienced within a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical skills / aptitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Physically fit as you may be moving loads up to 25kg
  • Solid time management skills and reliability is key
  • A focus on health and safety with basic computer skills
  • Good problem solver and effective communicator
  • Reliable and punctual; able to work designated shifts
  • Basic literacy skills – able to read, understand and follow work instructions
