Job summary

Octavius Infrastructure is recruiting a Machine Operative / Excavator Operator for the A29 Barnham Road Roundabout scheme in West Sussex. You will join the regional civil engineering team delivering highways and civils works for West Sussex County Council.

You'll operate an excavator safely, support drainage, and work within a busy site team alongside Gangers, Engineers and Site Managers. Relevant CPCS/NPORS qualifications and a full UK driving licence are essential; additional licenses are a

• Demonstrated commitment to safe plant operation and daily checks.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HE Passport and Manual Handling qualifications would be advantageous.

We are recruiting for a Machine Operative / Excavator Operator to join us here at Octavius.

You'll join our Regional Civil Engineering team working on our A29 Barnham Road Roundabout scheme in West Sussex, delivering highways and associated civil engineering works for West Sussex County Council.

You're an experienced Excavator Operator who takes pride in doing a good job. You're reliable, safety‑conscious and comfortable working as part of a busy civil engineering site team.

• You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
• Relevant CPCS or NPORS/CSCS qualification for operating an excavator
• Relevant CPCS/NPORS lifting category
• Experience operating excavators within construction or civil engineering
• Good understanding of safe plant operation and daily checks
• Full UK driving licence
• HE Passport and Manual Handling
• A positive attitude and strong commitment to safety

Plant Operations NVQ Level 2, Slinger, CAT & Genny/underground services or First Aid qualifications would also be advantageous.
