Qualifications

  • Excellent time management skills are essential.
  • Good knowledge of fault finding and attention to detail required.
  • Flexibility in work approach, able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Setup machines daily for production in High Risk and Low Risk areas.
  • Repair first line faults and liaise with Maintenance Engineers.
  • Conduct basic fault finding on mechanical systems.
  • Ensure availability of materials and prevent low stock levels.
  • Contribute to improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in training and assist with training others.
  • Maintain machinery and ensure health & safety standards.

Job Details

Job Title: Machine Minder

Location: The Compleat Food Group, Unit 2A, Nelson Street, Middlesbrough, TS6 6BJ

Working Hours: 12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00, 4 on / 4 off

Pay: £14.71 - £15.23 per hour

Reporting To: Engineering Manager

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Daily setup of machines in High Risk and Low Risk areas prior to production, including the assembly of pumps and vain vacuum machines
  • Repairing first line faults and liaising with Maintenance Engineers with more complex problems
  • Basic fault finding on mechanical systems
  • Ensure the availability of materials and accessories, prevent low stock levels
  • Contribute to existing improvement opportunities
  • Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues, where appropriate
  • Maintain Plant machinery and services; ensure Health & Safety and Quality Standards are achieved
  • Any other duties that could reasonably be expected within the remit of the post
