Job Details

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting Machine Maintenance Engineers at our client’s West Yorkshire site in Knottingley.

Rate of Pay: £15.05 per hour.

Hours: 39 hours over 7 days Monday to Friday 2 pm to 10 pm and weekends 12 pm to 2 pm. Flexibility may be required to suit factory needs.

Previous knowledge of working within a glass manufacture plant or 24 hour process environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machines within our client’s Cold End Production Department, ensuring equipment achieves maximum efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Clean, check, repair and refurbish spares to ensure availability and minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Fully apprentice-trained and possess a good level of Maths and English.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills; may be required to undertake an aptitude test.
• Enthusiastic and committed, with a pro‑active and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload, and communicate effectively at all levels.
