Job summary

Pertemps Leicester is hiring an Industrial Cleaning Operative in Leicester. The role involves cleaning large industrial machinery, equipment and production areas to a high standard, working as part of a team to maintain a safe and efficient site.

You will be physically fit, enjoy practical manual work, and be comfortable with a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern. The position offers days-only 6:00am–6:00pm, with ongoing hours and training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial, factory or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable working around large machinery.
• Physically fit and able to carry out a hands-on role.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.
• Willing to work both days and nights on a rolling basis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning of large industrial machinery and equipment
• Clean production areas, floors and surrounding workspaces
• Remove dirt, dust and build‑up from machinery
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly
• Follow cleaning schedules and site procedures
• Ensure machinery and work areas are cleaned to a high standard
• Report any damage, faults or safety concerns to management
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE

Industrial Cleaning Operative

Location: Leicester Pay: £12.71 per hour (Days)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Hours: 6:00am–6:00pm

The Role

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Industrial Cleaning Operatives to join a busy site in Leicester.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for keeping large industrial machinery, equipment and working areas clean and maintained to a high standard.

The role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is physically fit and isn't afraid of getting stuck in. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the site remains clean, safe and operating efficiently.
