Wärtsilä Corporation in Havant is recruiting for a permanent Machinist Grinder. The role focuses on surface grinding, drilling, lapping, and precision machining of materials like Inconell and stainless steel, following drawings and processes to meet OTIF targets.
The candidate should have experience in a tool room and with grinding machines, practical assemble and fitting skills, and at least 5 years in an engineering environment, with a good grasp of health and safety practices.
The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Havant.
The ADR cell encompass a range of Manual machines manufacturing components for Seal assemblies and spares. This position is in the ADR area using Grinding machines, Milling machines, turning machines and Lapping machines and would encompass the machining of materials such as Inconell, Stainless Steels, Carbon and composites.
Business demand will drive the required manpower and skills at any given time when instruction will be given for duties to be carried out.
Flexibility is key for this position with a wide variety of duties to be carried out in a safe accurate manner working to our OTIF target.
